Vijay Film with Almost Zero Buzz? Disaster Loading?

Following the box office success of Thalaivan Thalaivii, actor Vijay Sethupathi is returning with Gandhi Talks, directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 30th January.

Gandhi Talks is a unique film made without spoken dialogue. The shooting began in 2023, but financial issues led to multiple delays before the makers finally confirmed the release date.

Despite featuring a strong cast including Arvind Swamy and Aditi Rao Hydari, the film has failed to generate buzz among audiences. Reports suggest that pre bookings are extremely poor.

The weak advance sales have raised concerns about the film’s box office prospects. Trade circles are already predicting a difficult opening due to the lack of visibility.

Although Vijay Sethupathi and the Gandhi Talks team have been giving interviews, awareness about the release remains low. At this point, only strong word of mouth can change the film’s fate.

Several social media trackers have criticised the team for poor promotions. They point out that a film with no spoken dialogue already faces challenges, and limited publicity could further reduce theatre footfalls.

With minimal pre-release buzz, it remains to be seen how Gandhi Talks performs at the box office. The film’s fate will decide whether Vijay Sethupathi can continue his winning streak after its release on January 30th.
