Social media has become a vital part of our daily lives and with the constant rise of technology, it’s only sensible that the government organizations of Vishakapatnam are moving with time. We hear that organizations like the Waltair Division of the Indian Railways (WDIR), Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), and the Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) have recently set up their social networking accounts to maintain contact with the locals of the city.

Vishakapatnam, otherwise known as the ‘Port City’, now has all its important organizations at a few minutes’ distance and providing and receiving information has become much easier now. Organizations like the Waltair Division of the Indian Railways and the VPT have only created Twitter accounts to spread information regarding the developments in the city.

However, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has been more social media savvy and is now on both Twitter and Facebook and get in touch with the people of the city will be faster and easier.
