Vizag slowly hopping back to normalcy!

Vishakapatnam which is badly battered by Hudhud Cyclone is slowly restoring normalcy. The electricity department managed to restore power for emergency services. Collectorate, Gajuwaka, King George Hospital and 4000 houses in Gopalapatnam have got power. Milk, Petrol and essential commodities supply have resumed. Police forces were deployed at petrol bunks and shops so that they are sold at normal prices.

Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunita is making sudden visits to various business establishments in the city and are checking the prices. Roads are being cleared with the help of man power and tree cutting machines arrived from other districts and Odisha. Most of the government officials have attended their duties early in the morning. Chief Minister who reviewed relief works till 1AM, resumed work at 4AM once again.

Tea and Tiffin centers which sold food at very high prices in the last 3 days are selling at normal rates now. RTC had resumed all its services from Vishakapatnam to other places. However city buses are still only sparsely seen on roads. Most ATMs in the city are out of order and are not dispensing cash. The water supply to apartments is yet to begin. With the city coming to normal slowly, the Chief Minister and other government officials are now slowly shifting their focus on to rural areas.
