Though the film was criticized for some flaws in the second half, it enjoyed a fantastic run at the box office due to crackling performances, good writing, and entertainment quotient.
Anudeep repeated the same formula in his latest film FirstDay First Show. Though he didn’t direct the film, he wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the film and worked on the creative aspects of FDFS. But this time, the audience just didn’t accept his brand of cringe comedy and outrightly rejected the film. The film got shockingly low ratings from critics and the audience.
This is a wake-up call for Anudeep. He should realize that cashing on the same formula, again and again, can backfire very badly like First Day First Show.
His next film is a Tamil/Telugu bilingual with Sivakarthikeyan. The fate of this film is crucial for Anudeep, and if this film doesn’t work, then he will be thrown out as a one-film wonder.
