We Planned It, Unplanned – Ram Charan

After a realistic role like Chitti Babu character in ‘Rangasthalam’, an out-and-out mass movie like ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ would have been a perfect lineup if done well and had entertained the audiences. Did Ram Charan plan it to happen this way, a mass routine entertainer after an experimental realistic movie?

The mega hero says that he didn’t plan it this way. In fact, Boyapati narrated him a line, three and a half years ago and though Ram Charan was okay to do the movie, the director himself wanted to take time to come up with something different for the mega hero. But, Ram Charan didn’t think that the mass movie would happen right after ‘Rangasthalam’. Though it wasn’t a planned movie, it was perfect if not for the over-the-top action entertainer without a solid story.

Ram Charan felt that audiences are more into realistic movies and logical plots. There is a void for the commercial potboilers and therefore, ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ will be a pleasant change and fill the gap. “We planned it, unplanned,” says Ram Charan. That means, though he wanted to do a movie with Boyapati, he never planned to do it right after ‘Rangasthalam’, initially.
