Star directors in Tollywood today receive remunerations as high as the heroes themselves. Some of them almost commend the respect and following as the heroes themselves. And in recent times, some of them like Sukumar and Trivikram are talking about producing small movies with different subjects. In fact, these are the days in which star heroes and directors could not experiment or try something different due to their image and the huge amount of money at stake on their project.

Producing small films is only like giving away some part of their fortune back to the film industry. These subjects will have good promotion due to the big names associated with them and will also garner good openings. If they become success, there is a parallel stream of films with substance indirectly with the help of these star directors. Lets hope it happens and more star directors turn producers of such films.
