What is This Controversy of RRR Teaser is All About?

SS Rajamouli’s RRR – Komaram Bheem Teaser is out the other day. The teaser has got more than 15 million views already which is a record. The viewers were impressed with the visuals and NTR’s stunning look as Komaram Bheem.

However, it is revealed that a couple of visuals are stock footage of a documentary aired National Geographic (NG) channel. The volcano visuals are a straight lift from this documentary, they revealed. It looks like the makers may have bought the stock visuals and used them in the teaser.

“It is not a big deal for Hollywood films to use Stock footage especially in teasers and trailers but it is a new practice for Tollywood. The major cause of the worry is why Rajamouli do not have enough footage for the teaser even after shooting for two years for the film,” a film analyst says.

“Maybe he has the footage but does not have the footage for the concept of the teaser. Since it is not possible to shoot in the COVID-19 situation, he may have come up with this idea. Unless it is plagiarism, there should not be a problem,” another analyst says.
