What Kept Samantha Away From Bollywood?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an A-list actress down South and thanks to Raj and DK’s web series, The Family Man 2 that got the attention of the Bollywood audience. Things would have been a cakewalk for the actress to make inroads into Bollywood much before, but the actress purposefully kept herself distant from Bollywood.

Samantha has spilled beans as to what made her stay away from Bollywood for this long. The actress dubs that she found confidence in her work only in the last two years. The actress states that she was still making bad choices and didn’t like playing cute girl roles.

“I was establishing myself in the South. Only in the last two years, things have changed at work. I am more confident in accepting new challenges now. I don’t dabble into too many things at once; once I master one challenge I move onto another, this was the reason it took so long, says Samantha.

Samantha’s Bollywood debut has been spoken about a lot. While things are yet to be announced officially, it is highly rumoured that she would be collaborating with Taapsee Pannu for a women-centric film that will be produced under Taapsee’s production.
