What’s the Connection Between Puri & Parasuram?

Puri Jagannadh encouraging Parasuram and sending out a tweet about the latter’s upcoming movie ‘Sarkari Vaari Paata‘ with superstar Mahesh Babu must have made you wonder about the relationship between the two.

Though it’s a known thing in the industry and from his past interviews, for the unversed, director Parasuram’s father and Puri’s father happen to be cousins. So, Puri is Parasuram’s causing by blood.

That’s the reason why Puri’s tweet read, “I have closely seen your journey since childhood #SarakaruVaariPaata is another milestone in your journey.” Parasuram claims that every grain of food that he and his family eats is due to Puri Jagannadh.

That’s the kind of encouragement and support that he got from Puri when he came to Hyderabad during tough times after Parasuram’s mother passed away and the entire family was in depression. Parasuram worked as Puri’s assistant director before turning director himself.
