Whistle And Khaidi Advance Booking: Expectedly Weak

Two big movies are releasing this week just before the Diwali arrives. Both are dubbed from Tamil. They are Whistle and Khaidi and stars Vijay and Karthi respectively.

For the Tamil version, there is no comparison at all. The Vijay starrer Bigil is way ahead and is looking to get a top 3 opening. The pre-festival effect and reduction in shows are going to hamper its chances for the top slot.

However, when it comes to Telugu dubbing, the advances are pretty ordinary a day before release. It was expected as there was no buzz going into the release week. Still, Whistle is getting a massive release and is ahead of Khaidi. But it is only marginally, as of now. If there is a good talk, then there is could a significant difference due to the number of theatres it has got.

Khaidi is poor in Telugu and weak in Tamil. It needs an extraordinary word of mouth to pick up and put up a face-saving total, in the end. The early word of mouth and buzz from insiders suggests a high likeliness of that happening. We need to see, if that happens, will that be a case in Telugu as well or not?

Both Vijay and Karthi have an excellent opportunity to score a significant grosser with a good talk. There are no big movies shortly. Let’s see who makes becomes the winner in Telugu, finally.
