Dulquer Salmaan already has goodwill among Telugu audiences, with an underlying soft corner for him that adds positivity to any actor.
Dulquer’s Lucky Baskhar releases tomorrow but will have paid premieres tonight.
Lucky Baskhar has generated enough interest, but for Dulquer to dominate other new releases, strong word of mouth and positive reviews are must. Films like Lucky Baskar need to deliver a wholesome emotional drive and an engaging narrative; average content will not make an impact. That’s a challenge.
On the other hand, Kiran Abbavaram’s different attempt ‘KA’ has brought him a good dose of positivity, not just for the film but for the actor as well.
Films like these need to fully deliver with surprise elements playing a major role; otherwise, acceptance will be limited, as history has shown.
‘KA’ has strong potential, but how much the content thrills or surprises will be key.
With both films holding paid premieres tonight and U.S. premieres starting in a few hours, it will be interesting to see who delivers the big surprise.
