Why Telugu media boycotted this big film?

In Bollywood, stars maintain a personal Public Relations Officer who formulates strategies to promote the stars as well as their movies. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachan’s personal PRO Parag Desai also acts as PRO for several Bollywood star heroes and looks after their promotions in various cities whenever their films are forth coming for release.

But when Parag Desai arranged for ‘Roy’ movie promotion in Hyderabad, Telugu media mouthed its displeasure on the way Parag Desai is treating Telugu media and only conducting press meets and promotional campaign selectively with a few media persons and even avoiding a big regional media house like ‘ABN Andhra Jyothi’.

The media persons who boycotted the promotions of ‘Roy’ made it clear to the stars who came to promote the film that they are boycotting the promotions only to bring to the notice of the biggies in Bollywood how Parag Desai is insulting and avoiding even big names like ABN. ‘Roy’ film’s hero Arjun Ramphal and Ranbir Kapoor (special appearance) had to face the allegations of media persons who were ill treated by the PRO earlier.
