Wild Dog Confirms OTT Release. Date Locked?

King Nagarjuna’s latest film, Wild Dog is going to be the first major film in Tollywood to skip its theatrical run even after the theaters are open. Reports are that the movie rights were snapped up by Netflix for a direct OTT release.

Sources say that Netflix offered a premium price for the rights which would leave the makers in profit. So, they thought it would be wise to release the movie online than releasing the film in theaters in these uncertain times.

The film is likely to be streamed for Republic Day. The official announcement is awaited. Earlier there were reports that the movie may have a simultaneous theatrical release on the same day but it is not the case with the new agreement, we are told.

Directed by a newcomer Ahisor Solomon, Wild Dog is based on some real-event and is about an encounter that happened on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Nagarjuna will be seen as an encounter specialist, ACP Vijay Varma in the film
