Mahesh Babu’s fans are a rattled lot. They are absolutely furious with the recently released second song from the Guntur Karam album. The majority of the fans on social media are wildly trolling Thaman, Trivikram, and everyone involved.
Many are going a step ahead and are calling out the lyricist, Ramajogaiah Sastry as well. They are commenting that Sastry is not remotely worth the “Saraswati Putra” tag and are passing brutal trolls on him. This is one of the first times a lyricist is coming under the pump for a song’s failure. There are many trolls and memes on the lyricist, apart from the usual victim, Thaman.
However, Sastry didn’t take this social media trolls lightly as he has now shared his reaction of the same on social media.
“Social media is going to DOGS…people who do not know a thing abt the process..think that they can comment and judge…with all d ill intentions..of spreading hate..targeting the technicians…NO..NOT at all good.. Someone should stop this. They are crossing the limits” Sastry said.
Sastry has clearly burst out of frustration and that is perhaps understandable from his side, given that he has been facing unbearable trolls since last evening.
Fans usually confine their hate and dissatisfaction to the music director if they don’t like a song, but they’ve come out against lyricist as well this time. The unexpected and provocative trolls have clearly frustrated Sastry this time. Needless to say, the fans also went overboard with their non-stop abuses on the technicians.
However, one should note if there is a point in firing on fans who ultimately are the ones who buy the tickets and are the backbone for a star hero film. Does this venting out in reaction to the negative response to one’s work serve any purpose, particularly in the film industry where criticism is a part and parcel of the trade?
