Members of the Telugu Television Parisrama Parirakshana Samithi (TTPPS) which consisted of about hundred tv artists recently took to the streets to show their vehement protest against dubbed serials that are being aired by regional channels. In this regard, a representation was submitted to the various channels demanding that they take the serials in question off air.
Furthermore, the members of TTPPS have made the decision to a relay hunger strike from April 1 to 10 and observe a No Shooting Day on March 31 in order to put pressure on the senior management. In the event of the failure of this move, their backup plan is to threaten a non cooperation movement.
As far as the success of this move is concerned, ETV and Gemini TV have already given their affirmation and have accepted their demands, but Maa TV is still firm on telecasting the serials. Dasari also made satirical comments on Chiranjeevi on the same issue recently since Chiru and Nag own big piece of ownership in Maa network.
