Will Dubbing Films Work for These Popular Heroines?

‘Baahubali’s success across the nation is giving hope for many filmmakers to make films with actors featured in Baahubali. Some of the makers want to cash upon this popularity by releasing their films in other languages.

The makers of Anushka Shettys ‘Bhagamati’ which is in the post-production stage are planning to cash Devasena’s image and dub their film in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Even, one of Ramya Krishna’s Malayalam movies is getting dubbed into Telugu as ‘Mathangi’.

Though these two stars have immense popularity, we are sceptical if people will go to theatres for these films if they dub and release their films from other languages. ‘Baahubali’ is a giant and hence their next movies’ success will depend only on the content coupled with powerful roles, not on the craze alone. What say?
