Will keep up the family tradition says Upasana

Upasana Kamineni has been married to actor Ram Charan for over two years now but still she hasn’t changed her surname so far. When asked about the same she says that there is no compulsion from the family but she wants to do on her own to keep up the family tradition.

It is mostly a tradition in Indian marriages that upon marriage the bride changes her surname to that of the bridegroom. Although it is not mandatory, as can be seen in cases of many film industry related people but most people follow it as part of a tradition. And Upasana Kamineni happens to be among those who want to honour the tradition.

So what is taking her so long? She says that it was a combination of laziness and matter of convenience. It will be soon done over with, she says and ends the topic with a laugh.
