Will Pawan Kalyan Give Up His Stance and Help BJP?

Whenever BJP wants to rise in a state, it banks on sensitive communal issues. The party’s rise in Indian politics has the foundation in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir issue and so, that is obvious. The Saffron party is planning to replicate the same in Andhra Pradesh as well.

BJP wants its Andhra Pradesh partner, Janasena to replicate the same. But then, Pawan Kalyan is trying hard to save his Secular image. The last month, BJP aggressively pursued the issue of ‘Chalo Ramatheertham’ but Pawan Kalyan did not join them.

Pawan Kalyan says his entry into such a sensitive issue may lead to the flare-up of emotions which may lead to communal disharmony. But then, that is what exactly needed when a segment has to be polarized for politics. BJP wants Pawan Kalyan exactly for the same purpose.

Moreover, with Tirupati’s byelection fast approaching, they need him urgently on such issues. It has to be seen if Pawan Kalyan will give up on his stance and help BJP. Traditionally, AP people are not prone to communal politics. AP is more of caste polarized society. It has to be seen if BJP’s gameplan works here.
