Will Prabhas Repeat His Mistake?

There’s a proverb in Engish, Once Bitten Twice Shy, which means that a person who has failed when trying to do something is careful about doing it again.

Agree or disagree, but it’s a fact that Adipurush damaged Prabhas’ career in the Hindi belts quite a bit. Saaho and Radhe Shyam were huge flops, but no one complained much.

But Prabhas’ portrayal as Ram in Adipurush drew huge criticism and backlash. A section of hardcore Hindi audience lost their admiration for Prabhas after Adipurush which he earned with Baahubali.

Salaar not getting a big opening in Hindi was also due to the damage done to Prabhas’ stardom after Adipurush.

Fans urged Prabhas never to work with exclusive Bollywood producers and directors ever again because they ruin his image and potential.

Despite these reservations, reports indicate Prabhas has committed to doing a project with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, who produced Adipurush.

It seems Prabhas has also taken a huge advance from Bhushan for a film. Pathaan director Siddharth Anand is on top of the list to direct this film.

However, Prabhas’ busy schedule means any new project would need to wait at least two years. During this period, Siddharth Anand may need to wait.

However, if another director approaches Prabhas in the meantime, T-Series might proceed with that project instead. While a film with Bhushan Kumar is confirmed, the choice of director depends on Prabhas’ decision.

It remains to be seen if Prabhas would risk his career once again by working on an exclusive Bollywood project after Adipurush.
