Will RRR Have Pre-Festival Impact?

SS Rajamouli’s RRR – The Multistarer film with NTR and Ram Charan is going to release on January 8th, 2021 as Sankranthi Special. This is the same time when Rajinikanth’s Darbar released for this Sankranthi. Usually, January 8th and 9th are considered as not so good release dates.

Trade Pundits usually see these days as Pre-Festival Dates. Normally, the audience will not be enthusiastic to watch films on those days as they save their bucks to watch the movie during the festival. But then, it may not be the case with RRR which is the most-hyped film.

The makers are expecting the movie to get record opening in the initial days and later enter into the rampage mode due to Sankranthi holidays. On the other side, it has to be seen if the movie will have any competition from other biggies of Tollywood.

From Bollywood, Ek Villain 2 is confirmed for January 8th, 2021 release and one film of Rajinikanth or Vijay are expected from Kollywood.
