The most hyped movie ever, until now, in Kannada film industry is all set to hit screens. It is the biggest budgeted movie in Kannada film industry and is releasing simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, along with Kannada.

KGF could be a game-changing film for not only its lead hero Yash but to entire Kannada film industry. The young star is already on a raise from many years and is seen as one of the most bankable; a regular entertaining film could have been enough to continue his star position. But, Yash has risked it big with KGF? A success here would not only propel him career wise but also take the entire Kannada industry a level bigger.

Unlike the other Southern industries, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, Kannada industry is relatively low key and frankly speaking not that popular outside the state on a pan-Indian level. The scale of the movies and stars are part of that reason. KGF could change all that with success.

The burden is enormous on Prashanth Neel, a one film old director. The good news is that his debut was a blockbuster mass entertainer.
