Will top producer convince legendary director?

Top producer Dil Raju is in fix right now. The producer has a release coming up in the form of Ok Bangaram, it wouldn’t be a problem generally but with a film that he is distributing running at cinemas he is in two minds.

Son of Satyamurthy is distributed by Dil Raju in Nizam and as we all know its one of the biggest territories for the movie which means he can’t cut it short. He could release it in other theaters but with Kanchana 2 too slated to arrive and being a bigger and higher anticipated movie among masses that coincidentally is also distributed by Dil Raju, he is in two minds to release a third movie simultaneously.

The producer is now reportedly trying to convince the legendary director Mani Ratnam to postpone his movie by a week to give the film enough screens. As it is the director is having poor run at the ticket window for a long time, now if he gets shortchanged with theaters his latest too could face the same fate despite having a well known distributor backing it. Would the director heed to the producer’s words?
