Will vision 2024 strategy work for Pawan Kalyan?

From the press meet given today, it has become clear that Pawan Kalyan would not be actively involved in politics anytime soon. He might be creating news here and there by being active for certain causes and expressing his voice but with a statement that says he wants Chandra Babu to be CM till 2024, one can clearly assume what his role his going to be.

This means that we could be seeing the politician on and off for a long time to come but the star being an active one. Will this approach work for him? Let’s look at the positive and the negative angle.

The positive side is that Pawan Kalyan could be actively doing films for at least next seven years (by 2024). These are without any doubt going to be his best years as he isn’t getting younger anymore. So fans could see him on top of the game with right attractive physicality. It would help Pawan Kalyan strengthen his fans base further. Add to it, his production house which if he takes seriously could give him an additional universal image if he manages to hire non –family actors as well.

The downside is in politics seven plus years is a long time. How will the actor manage to make his presence felt is a big mystery for everyone as we haven’t seen precedence like this before? With no ‘real’ active political involvement and presence only during elections people might lose complete faith in him for his non serious attitude.

The farfetched theory here would be if the actor manages to stay politically relevant and still do films regularly then by 2024 there is a huge possibility of anti-incumbency that might help his cause greatly. But as said at the beginning this is a farfetched theory with no precedence before. All of this surely is making Pawan Kalyan the biggest newsmaker currently. How long can this be sustained will eventually decide his future is what we believe.
