Repetition has become the talk of the town these days. Except a couple of movies, most of the movies released this year seemed to have similarities with earlier movies. Especially director Srinu Vaitla became a big target for the critics because of his repetitive acts in Baadshah and Aagadu. There aren’t just strong Dookudu flavours but even similar characterisations in the form of spoofs and parodies.
For Vaitla, Brahmanandam and spoofs became a sort of weakness. When one turns repetitive, the strenghths of the person tend to become his weaknesses. Creativy and novelty only can keep a film maker travel on the road of success. Once this truth is forgotten then begins the downfall. Doing a Dookudu act had a bitter effect on Mahesh’s career even. To be frank, Mahesh believed Srinu Vaitla because of his Dookudu.
Now he is going to do a movie with ‘Mirchi’ director Koratala Shiva. Shiva has reportedly roped in his ‘Mirchi’ villian Tamil actor Sampath who had recently featured in ‘Run Raja Run’ and ‘Loukyam’. Once the casting gets repetitive, there are alarming bells ringing. Cine lovers are hoping big way that Mirchi Siva comes out of his ‘Mirchi’ flavours and does not do a ‘Mirchi’ with Mahesh like Vaitla did a ‘Dookudu’ in ‘Aagadu’.
