Young directors making the big move

Tollywood seems to be attracting a lot of new director these days considering the fact that top directors like Puri Jagannath, Srinu Vytla, Trivikram Srinivas, V.V. Vinayak and Sukumar are charging an all time time high of Rs 6 to Rs 10 crores for film projects. And with most of the actors ready to work with directors with just one or two hits, directors like Srikanth Addala, Santhosh Srinivas, Sampathi Nandi, Maruthi, Sudhir Varma and Ashok have soon made their way into the heart of the industry.

In this context, director Santhosh, who has a single hit of Kandireega under his belt, says that he is very eager about directing superstar Jr NTR and was overjoyed when he okayed the script after a two-hour narration. According to him there is a lot of creative freedom when working with big stars owing largely to big budgets.
