Young Directors Gets Rare Honour

It is not very often we see directors donning greasepaint and coming in front of the screen rather than being behind. The best they do is show a glimpse for a shot to create curiosity among fans.

What if a director gets a chance to not only act but also play someone who is a legend in the field of movies? Well, such rare honour is bestowed upon director Krish of Kanche and Gautamiputra Satakarni fame. The director will play legendary KV Reddy, maker of classic Mayabazar, on screen.

What’s more another young filmmaker, Tharun Bhaskar will be seen playing Singeetham Srinivas Rao. He will be seen as assistant to director KV Reddy on screen. The characters are for the film Mahanati which is a biopic of legendary actress Savitri.
