Youth cuts tongue –security beefed, as India exits

A semi final clash was always going to be nerve wracking adrenaline pumping affair and when things get that desperate the outcomes are not always in positive light, especially if things don’t go the way one planned. People prayed and prayed and made promises galore, a youth (Sudhakar) from Tamilnadu even slit his tongue so that the Gods understand his cry and make India win. Unfortunately it wasn’t the day they all hoped to be.

The instant reactions have been severe especially on heroine Anushka who is girlfriend of cricketer Virat Kohli. Many have put the blame squarely on her for the loss without even having a momentary thought about it. Some even went to the extent of inciting mob to attack her house. Already the security at cricketers houses have been beefed up in wake of such reactions.

However the fans seems to have come to realization eventually which can be seen by the way they have come behind the Indian team in strength and trolled a media organization (TimesNow) for its sensationalistic assessment of the situation. We have to realize that it is sport and at the end of the one had to win while the other lost. Irrespective of the outcome today Team India has done the nation proud and we must be respectful to it and not be such sore losers ourselves.
