YVS competes with Maruthi for Censor cuts

The amount of cuts that have been approved for director YVS Chowdhary’s forthcoming release Rey will put it in direct competition with another director who is known for have record cuts at censor and he is none other than Maruthi.

Rey has got as many as 41 from the censor board which is just one cut higher than what Maruthi’s Bus Stop had to undergo. Most of these cuts are of course dialogue which the board has found inappropriate and replaced with alternative words in its place as it seemed fit to them.

This is quite some regression for director YVS Chowdhary from his initial days for sure when he made films like Sri Seetharamula Kalyanam Chootamu Rarandi and Yuvaraju with Mahesh Babu.
