Nani is the only Tollywood hero who had two direct-to-OTT releases – V and Tuck Jagadish. It may be recalled this move had put Nani under the radar of criticism with many venting anger on him for skipping theatrical release.

Some also said that Nani would become an OTT star with back-to-back releases and some even wondered that it would cause a dent in his image for his coming films. But Nani has proved them wrong as that is not the case with Shyam Singha Roy.

The period drama was announced for December 24. Nani has now proved all the naysayers wrong as many are betting big on SSR. Contrary to the rumours, Shyam Singha Roy theatrical rights are hot cake now. Nizam and Vizag theatrical rights have been sold for a record price.

The theatrical rights for Nizam and Vizag is bagged by Bridge Films Lakshman which is the highest ever price in Nani’s career. With this the actor has debunked the so-called theories that did rounds that Nani will lose his charm as he had opted for OTT releases.

Speaking about SSR, the film right from its first glimpse has generated good buzz. It is also the most expensive film in Nani’s career and carries good buzz.
