Arjun Vijay-Hari’s ‘Enugu’ locks release date

The Tamil film ‘Yaanai’, for which Hari has wielded the megaphone, is being released as ‘Enugu’ in Telugu. Come June 17, the film will be released in theatres. A pre-release event will be held in Hyderabad on June 12.

Arun Vijay, the Kollywood actor, is laying a well-written and performance-oriented role in the movie. Ch Satish Kumar, the distributor-turned-producer, has acquired the Telugu release rights.

In a statement, Ch Satish Kumar said that director Hari has proved his mettle with the famous ‘Singham’ movies. ‘Enugu’ is a superb actioner, he added.

Bankrolled by Vigneswara Entertainments, ‘Enugu’ is driven as much by content as it is by action scenes (stunts are by Anl Arasu).

Also starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Ammu Abirami, Ramachandra Raju, Radhika Sarathkumar, Aadukalam Jayapalan and others, the film’s story and screenplay have been written by director Hari. GV Prakash Kumar has set the tunes for songs. Gopinath is the film’s director of photography.
