Release Date Of Muthiah Muralidaran’s Biopic ‘800’ Announced

A film based on Muthiah Muralidaran has been made by Movie Train Motion Pictures. The biopic of the former Sri Lankan cricketing great is titled ‘800’. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies, who owns all India theatrical rights to the film, is going to release ‘800’ on October 6 in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

In the coming weeks, ‘800’ is going to be promoted passionately. The film was written painstakingly in such a manner that Muralitharan’s life and his quintessential genius get full-scale portrayal on the big screen.

MS Sripathy is directing the movie. Madhur Mittal plays the cricketer and Mahima Nambiar plays his wife. The film was extensively shot in Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Kochin, Chandigarh and Chennai on a lavish budget. “When Muralidaran listened to the script offered by Sripathy, the celebrated bowler shed his reluctance and gave the permission for his biopic to be made,” the creators of the movie said.

With music by Ghibran, the film also features Naren, Nassar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Riythvika, Vadivukkarasi, Arul Das, Hari Krishnan, Sarath Lohithaswa and others.
