That’s The Only Way To Cut Down Budget: Swapna Dutt

Increase in film budgets is one of the most worrying factors of the industry. Due to various reasons, budget of most of the movies are increasing. So, sometimes, it’s tough to recover investments, even though if a film receives positive talk. Producer Swapna Dutt who delivered another hit with Sita Ramam gives her suggestions on movie budget.

“Prices of every thing is on the rise. Likewise, budgets of movies are also increasing. It’s definitely a matter of concern. However, every producer is working sincerely to cut down the expenses. But it’s not every time possible to make movies within our budget limitations. While sometimes, it’s the cinema that demands, some other times, the budget increases due to the mistake of producers. As per me, the best way to cut down the budget is to complete the movies in less working days.”

Swapna Dutt informs film production is not an easy thing. “It involves lots of responsibility, hard work and pressure. If a film becomes a hit, he gets credit only in the last. However, a producer is blamed first for failure of a movie. It gives an immense pleasure to see our final product. We work for that satisfaction.”

The producer says Tarak, Dulquer, Nani and Prabhas are her favorite stars. “When Prabhas comes to shoot, we simply forget that it’s our film. He mingles with everyone in no time. He asks us for what kind of food we prefer.”

Swapna Dutt is presently busy with Project K with Prabhas. Nag Ashwin is directing the high budget entertainer.
