1020 acres pooled in so far for Capital!

The Capital Regional Development Agency (CRDA) which is incharge of the land pooling for the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh is working at full force in the capital villages. The officials have passed technical glitches which they countered in first few days and are now working very effectively. By Monday, CRDA has got the agreement letters from 294 farmers of 8 villages pooling in 1020 acres of land.

All the farmers who gave the land will be getting the crop compensation starting from April. The farmers are allowed to harvest in these lands only till March. The officials have started the work from the villages favourable to land pooling and will be taking up the opposing villages last.

The government is yet to take a decision of lands in which land owners are working in other states and countries. Government is considering the option of power of attorney in order to exempt them from the trouble of coming all the way back to their native places. At the same time government is also exploring any legal issues that may come in this process. 51786 acres of land is available in the first phase land pooling villages and the government is targeting to pool in 38000 acres. Three different packages were announced for the land losing farmers in the capital area depending on the number of crops grown in those lands.
