13 Lakh Crore Investments: Another Election Gimmick?

The two-day Global Investors Summit is underway in Vishakapatnam. It is not even the first half of the first day and Jagan Mohan Reddy eagerly took the mike and announced investment proposals worth Rs 13 lakh crore.

“We have received 340 investment proposals worth Rs 13 lakh crore providing employment to 6 lakh people across 20 sectors,” announced the Chief Minister.

Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s Government is in deep slumber for almost four years with zero focus on investments and job creation.

In fact, we have seen Jagan driving away investors like Franklin Templeton.

With elections fast approaching, Jagan hurriedly had an investors summit to show off something.

“But then, 13 Lakh Crore and 6 Lakh jobs sound so unbelievable and the quantum of numbers are unbelievable even for industrial states like Maharashtra and Karnataka – the top two investors destinations of India so far,” people are of the opinion.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy being one of the youngest Chief Ministers of the country and with a business background should have put an honest attempt to make Andhra Pradesh an investments haven but he indulged only in freebies for four years and has been trying to show off something at the last minute for vote bank politics,” they say.
