144 Section @ AP Interim Secretariat

The other day we have seen some tension flared up at Andhra Pradesh interim secretariat construction site after a worker got killed accidentally. The district administration announced compensation to the family of the dead worker and the construction work resumed today in Velagapudi. The local police have imposed 144 section in area barring open protests, agitations, dharna in the area.

The permission for the entry of private persons is also barred. The district administration and CRDA officials have held talks with construction companies to take the necessary precautions to avoid such untoward incidents. This is the second instance of such accident at the construction site. L&T and Shapoor Pallonji are the companies executing the project.

The state government is keen to complete the construction of the interim secretariat and shift the administration from Hyderabad to Amaravati by June 27th. The construction companies are deploying workers in three shifts and are working round the clock to complete the construction on time.
