In an interesting development, three accused in the HCA case have been granted bail. HCA treasurer Srinivas, Sri Chakra Cricket Club president Kavitha, secretary Rajender Yadav were given bail.
On the other hand, the petition by CID to extend the custody of HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao has been struck down. Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Rao and CEO Sunil have filed for bail in Malkajgiri Court.
The hearing on the bail petition will happen on Monday. The above-mentioned 5 have been arrested on various cases.
The top five were arrested on charges of forgery and misappropriation of funds. Jagan Mohan Rao is said to have forged papers for contesting the elections and embezzling Rs 23 crore.
They also have charges of harassing the Sunrisers’ top brass for tickets during 2025 IPL Series. The issue turned dirty as it became a public spat. Sunrisers even went to the extent of considering a change of home base from Hyderabad.
