6000 Crore for Amaravati Government Complex

The Government Offices Complex that will come up in Amaravati is going to cost about 6000 Crore for the state exchequer. All the buildings put together will create 1.5 Crore Square feet of office space. Since there can be more changes to the existing design submitted by Maki and Associates, the construction costs can change.

Few Union government office buildings will also come up here and they will be totally borne by them. The construction of the iconic buildings of the Assembly and high court alone will cost 700 Crore. The entire government complex will come up in 900 acres. The government is keen to start the construction of the iconic buildings by May – 2017 and complete it by December – 2018.

The rest of the buildings in the government complex will start construction by January-2017. They will be ready by December-2018. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on these deadlines as he wants to go to the elections showing this to people. It has to be seen how the Center will help in this!
