75 Women in Assembly Post Delimitation

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has said that his government thinks about women in all the activities and schemes it takes up. Women empowerment should not be limited to words, action is required Babu said in the Assembly.

Women’s empowerment began with TDP reminded Babu. He said it was late NTR who gave right to property for women.

A man who hasn’t given a share in property to his sister and mother was the CM in the past. He is trying to take away what he had given in the past to them. But in our government, for the first time, we have provided 33% reservations for women in education and jobs, shared Babu.

Thanks to that the women today are well-educated. The times are such they are being given dowry in return. We are giving Rs 5000 for fixed deposit when a girl child is born. We have provided 33% reservations for women in local bodies, said Babu.

Chandrababu emphasized that 75 women will come to the Assembly if delimitation happens.

We have given Rs 10,000 under Pasupu Kumkuma by spending Rs 9689 crore. Telugu Desam party is Teluginti Aadapaduchula party, he said.

Under Deepam-2, we have given three free cylinders. He said if women saved Rs 1 through Dwacra, I put in Rs 1 from our side. Through Dwacra women we are carrying out organic farming in 50 lakh acres, shared Babu.

For the capital, 29,000 farmers voluntarily gave their lands adding upto 34,000 acres. Land means sentiment. Despite that, they gave their lands for larger good. If Amaravati has survived, it is due to the push provided by women, said CM Chandrababu.
