
The Anti-Narcotics Bureau and the Hyderabad police have been actively conducting raids and busting drug rackets across various areas of the city over the last few months.
In the latest incident, the Hyderabad police seized 8.5 kgs of Amphetamine drugs, worth Rs. 8.5 crore, in Bowenpally. Three accused individuals have been arrested and their cell phones were seized.
The police got information last night saying that three individuals are transporting Amphetamine drugs from Jinnaram. The accused were about to deliver those drugs near Paradise in Secunderabad.
Immediately, Hyderabad Narcotics Wing officials, with the help of Bowenpally police, caught the vehicle on Dairy Farm road and took the accused into custody.
In another raid, the police seized 50 grams of MDMA and 25 grams of cocaine in Rajendra Nagar. It had been identified that these drugs were being transported from Bengaluru and were being sold in Hyderabad.
A Nigerian woman was arrested in this incident. Four other accused individuals are absconding. It was found out that a couple, with three other individuals, were peddling drugs in this region.
The police have registered a case and are searching for the other accused individuals who have escaped.
