9 Years in Jail for No Fault, Satyam Babu Gets a Degree!

Satyam Babu who was acquitted in Ayesha Meera case not before rotting in Jail for nine years has earned a BA degree in political science, public administration, and sociology and passed in the second division through distance education.

He appeared for the examinations in June 2016 when he was in the Rajahmundry Central jail and received his degree certificate at the convocation held at the Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University on Monday. Acquitted Satyam Babu is seeking a government job and some agricultural land from the government.

Satyam Babu was convicted for the murder of Ayesha Meera in Vijayawada in 2010 which was a big sensational back then and was given a life sentence. But he was released from jail on April 1 this year after being acquitted by the High Court.
