Abysmally low allocations to AP

The third budget put up by Narendra Modi government once again disappointed Andhra Pradesh. Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley had restricted to only sparse allocations to the state. This will slow down several key projects like Polavaram, Metro Rail Projects etc. Zero allocations to Amaravathi, AIMS in Magalagiri and a shameful three Lakhs to Vishakapatnam Metro. Here are the list of allocations:

Polavaram Project – 100 Crore
Vijayawada Metro – 100 Crore
Vishakapatnam Metro – 3 Lakhs
IIITs – 20 Crore
Tirupati IIT – 40 Crore
Vishakapatnam IIM – 30 Crore
Tadepalligudem NIT – 40 Crore
Tirupati IISCR – 40 Crore
Tribal University – 1 Crore
Vishaka Steel Plant – 1678 Crore
Vishaka Port Trust – 231.61 Crore
Central University – 1 Crore
