Nara Lokesh, the TDP National General Secretary, was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic welcome he received from the people on the first day of the event.
On Sunday evening, the 170th day of the Yuvagalam Padayatra, the assembly took place in Addanki Constituency. Lokesh started his padayatra at 4 am on Sunday, and to his surprise, he found people had already gathered in large numbers. MLA Gottipati Ravikumar and other joint district leaders accompanied him on the padayatra.
Due to the huge crowd of TDP supporters, Lokesh could only cover a distance of one and a half kilometers in an hour and a half.
During the assembly, Lokesh addressed various local issues and promised to remove Addanki constituency from Bapatla district and merge it with Ongole-centered Prakasam once the TDP comes to power.
Throughout the event, different sections of the community, including Arya Vaishya, BC, and Dalits, welcomed Lokesh at different places with massive garlands.
The overwhelming turnout and reception seemed to remind people of the popularity and enthusiasm witnessed during the NTR era meetings in the past.
This is a strong show of support for Gottipati Ravi, who appears to be well on his way to securing his fourth term with ease!
