Veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister, LK Advani was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Delhi due to health-related issues.
This is the fourth time Advani has been hospitalized this year. He was admitted to the hospital in June and August. As per the latest reports, his condition is stable and he has been put under constant observation.
According to sources, the 97-year-old Advani was brought to the hospital a couple of days ago, and the news came to light only this morning. He is currently under the supervision of Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant in the neurology department at Apollo Hospitals on Mathura Road in New Delhi.
A bulletin regarding Advani’s health condition is expected to be released later today.
In March this year, Advani received India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. President Draupadi Murmu presented him the award at his residence.
Advani served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He was the Union Minister of Home Affairs from 1999 to 2004.
