The Congress party has intensified the election campaign in Telangana as the party is leading their election race with Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy.
However, the Congress party is now maintaining suspense on three constituencies in the Nalgonda district, where it is believed to be traditionally stronger.
Congress hasn’t yet announced candidates for four constituencies in Telangana till now and three of them are from Nalgonda district. The three constituencies in Nalgonda are Suryapet, Thungathurthi, and Miryalaguda.
With just two days to go for the nomination filing, the suspense is intensifying regarding the finalizing of the candidate for the three constituencies.
Even in 2018, Congress held back till the last minute to fix the candidates and fielded Damodar Reddy from Suryapet, Dayakar from Thungathurthi, and R Krishnaiah from Miryalaguda.
Due to the extreme delay in the finalization of the candidates, the party ended up losing all three constituencies.
It has to be seen how the Congress high command will deal with the situation now as any further delay could repeat the 2018 scenario.
