All set for Railway Zone announcement for AP?

The long cherished dream of separate railway zone for Andhra Pradesh is coming true according to sources. The current NDA government is completing one year in office on May 26th. As a gift for the state on this eve, the Center is planning to announce the Separate Railway Zone on 27th. Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu reportedly told this himself to Venkaiah Naidu.

Suresh Prabhu himself will be coming down to Vishakapatnam to make the announcement. All the Union Ministers are touring various states on the eve of One year completion is a program named ‘Jankalyan Parv’. The Special Railway Zone is already decided few weeks back but the Center held back the announcement till this occasion.

Special Railway Zone to Vishakapatnam is also one of the prime poll promises of BJP in the last elections. But it has got insensitive to the demand after the elections mainly due to the pressure from Odisha as the government requires the support of BJD MPs in Rajya Sabha. But the issue is now moving due to severe backlash from AP.
