All set for Vij Airport upgradation

Airports Authority of India (AAI) had called for the tenders to take up work on the new terminal building paving way for the airport expansion which has been pending for several years. The new terminal building will be ready by December next year.

The project estimated at 137 Crore will be executed on design and build basis. The airport had witnessed increased number of foot falls after the state division and so the upgradation assumes significance,

Once the terminal is ready, the airport will be set to operate international flights. The AAI’s consultants are already preparing the detailed project report which will be ready in three months.
