Alternate lake for Ganesh idols immersion

Telangana government has announced to create a separate Lake called ‘Vinayaksagar’ for the immersion of Ganesh idols after Vinayaka Chaviti and Durga idols after Dussehra. This decision was taken as a part of save Hussainsagar Campaign by the government taken to save the lake from the clutches of pollution.

GHMC officials have already started work on the Vinayaksagar and recently surveyed Indira Park to create the special lake for idols immersion. A detailed report regarding the same is prepared and is submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office.

The CM is going to hold an all-party meeting including MLAs from Greater Hyderabad on December 9 to discuss about this alternate lake and other issues about cleaning of Hussainsagar. Presidents of all political parties, floor leaders of all parties in Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council will be invited to the all party meeting.
