First Look: Amaravati Buildings by Japan’s Maki

Here is the good news for who is waiting with bated breath to see Amaravati dream turning a reality. World’s popular Japanese architectural firm Maki & Associates was chosen to sketch the buildings in Amaravati.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that construction of these buildings will start in about three months time once the temporary secretariat construction comes to an end. Naidu stated that two iconic buildings have been confirmed (Assembly and High Court) while the government is still debating on a iconic bridge which will be themed after ‘Kuchipudi’ concept.

Maki and Associates has designed several iconic buildings such as United Nations Consolidated Building (New York), Tower 4 of World Trade Centre Redevelopment (New York), Media Corp (Singapore) to name a few. Below are the few Amaravati designs released today.
