Amaravati Core Capital Works Get a Start Date

Andhra Pradesh government which has shifted its administrative base and Assembly to Amaravati by constructing a Temporary Secretariat and Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi is all set to begin the work on its core capital.

The Core Capital is designed by Foster and Partners and the construction will begin on May 15 on the banks of Krishna River at Uddandarayunipalem. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will hand over the land papers to a team of 15-member Singapore consortium.

Bhoomi Puja will be held during the auspicious muhurath from 2.54 pm to 3.45 pm and a public meeting will also be held to mark the occasion. Separate galleries would be available to LPS farmers at the public meeting which will be attended by 5000 people.
