The farmers who gave lands to the Capital are fighting in the courts against this move. Jagan is trying to portray Amaravati farmers as anti-poor. Also, the Government is falling short of land for this scheme.
As it has no financial resources to purchase lands, they got this concept of land in the capital and are distributing lands collected for Amaravati. The Government is paying paltry amounts to CRDA for these lands.
Also, these lands are being distributed in key areas of Amaravati master plan. Even if the Government changes, the new government will not be able to vacate the poor and implement the original master plan.
With all this benefits, Jagan Government will be easily tarnishing the image of the farmers saying Amaravati is only a place of the Rich and they are not allowing the Poor to live there.
The Biggest drawback on the part of the Amaravati farmers and parties supporting the Amaravati is they are failing to expose the agenda of Jagan Government behind this fancy ‘Lands For Poor in the Capital’.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear the farmers petitions against this scheme sometime the next week.
